VirtualRadio plays two sorts of streams:
Low bandwidth streams: MP3 with a bitrate not higher than 32 kbps.
Please use Shoutcast servers or Icecast servers.
MP3 only, not AAC!
All versions of VirtualRadio (iPhone, Android, Symbian and Java) can play low bandwidth
streams. With a low bandwidth stream 500'000 users of VirtualRadio
can be reached!
High bandwidth streams: MP3 with a bitrate higher than 32 kbps.
Please use Shoutcast servers or Icecast servers.
MP3 only, not AAC!
A high bandwidth only works on a 3G network with optimal coverage
and on a Wifi (WLAN) network. The Java version cannot play high
bandwidth streams.
With a high bandwidth stream only 20% of the listeners can be reached!
Should you have both, a low bandwidth stream and a high bandwidth
stream, both streams can be included. Just fill in the following
form twice.
